Passion truly is the essence of life. Once we tap into our passion, our soul literally lights on fire. It gives life so much more meaning.

Our existence is more vibrant. We are happier, colors seem brighter. And we almost have a child like essence to us.

It is the congruency with our soul, that is what I think passion it. Doing something we love, because we are meant to be doing it.

And it can even give us more sustainable long term energy.

I think the purpose of life is to find your passions, and then spend as many hours as possible engaging in them.

I used to be the typical meathead. Not believing in doing anything but chest!

Then I ended up competing in a natural bodybuilding show and noticed that I needed to build a better lower body.

I was really neglecting hitting the legs and noticed that every time I did, especially squats, my adductors would be in excruciating pain for the next couple days.

The would spasm like crazy. My hamstrings would be tight and it seemed that the only muscle group that was really getting any type of pump or soreness was my quads.

Maybe you can relate?

Also, I had something that everyone online was referring to “glute amnesia”. I couldn’t feel my glutes activating at all when using them. As well as when I was doing things that were supposed to be heavily glute dominant. Like squats or deadlifts.

LOL have you ever self diagnosed yourself? HA! Me too.

So of course, just like any stubborn dude, I refused to do the prescribed cure of my problem, which was hip thrusts.

But I did focus on doing legs twice a day from then on out, this being about 2 years ago. And I just figured that everything would right itself if I did them.

Sure I started to enjoy hitting legs more and they were putting on some size, getting stronger, and getting more chiseled out.

And yet, my glutes showed now change. I still got the adductor spasms, still couldn’t feel my glutes activating. And my posture was really showing what was referred to as an anterior pelvic tilt.

So at this point, I finally reach my wits end. And due to the fact that this is more of a personal development website, I want to share with you one of the biggest tips for self improvement.

And that is that we need to reach a point of absolute disgust with our situation in order to really change big time. In my opinion. Reaching out wits end. Realizing that the future is not going to EVER get any better if we simply continue doing what we have always been doing.

So, at this point, I committed to doing these annoying little things that they called “Hip thrusts”. I let go of my ego. And then started to do them, even though I felt like they weren’t cool, and they were “chick exercises”.

Well let me be the first to tell you, that the ladies knew what was the best ALL ALONG.

I started doing hip thrusts, and didn’t really feel much change at first. My hamstrings were taking the grunt of the labor. I didn’t feel my glutes activating at all for months.

But I kept going. I figured, heck its not going to hurt if I keep at this. And at best, maybe I can get rid of my glute amnesia and really starting using my body is a more efficient way because of the strength I am building in my glutes.

So fast forward about 6 months of doing about 12-16 sets a week on my glutes.

I start feeling them activating when I walk. My pelvis seemed to correct itself and I felt less of a “tilt” in my pelvis.

It was almost as if my head was steady and sturdy, like I was almost looking down more in a way. But in the proper way.

And my whole body just starting to feel much more powerful.

I felt like my walk was more of a graceful glide. As I seemed to be able to push through and off my glutes with more power and force.

So 6 months in, mind you, it took that long, I started to reap the rewards of being patient using the power of persevering.

I started to squat again regularly, and quickly was up to my regular max for reps and weight. And the best part about it, no pain at all, whatsoever in my lower back and adductors, like I used to get.

Then a couple weeks of feeling this way, I upped the weight on pretty much everything. I started blowing away my squat personal bests, then deadlifts, then bench and other accessory lifts like shoulder press and hammer curls.

All in all, my whole anatomical structure was corrected more or less, by my commitment to simply hitting my glutes twice a week. Like I would with any other muscle group.

So the long short of it, is that by building stronger glutes, I became a stronger and completely pain free lifter.

And I feel better in the gym at 32 than I felt at 22.

So please my friend, give it a try. It will change your life, both inside and outside the gym.

Glute Training For Beginners

If you are like me and you are new the to glute game, I suggest simply starting with doing hip thrusts on the ground with no weight at all.

Then you can graduate to putting a light dumbbell on your lap when hip thrusting.

Then after you have mastered both light and heavy weight with dumbbells, then it is time to graduate to barbell hip thrusts.

This isn’t a perfect template of progression, and yet it worked good for me. Someone who had no experience in glute training at all.

So give it a try, and keep trying, for weeks or months. And one day, whether it be sooner or later, you too will experience the power of stronger glutes!

Who Am I? (Answering The Most Important Question)

This is said to be the last question we must answer, hopefully before we leave this place. To awaken in a sense.

As we are all sleeping in a way. Sleeping on the fabricated lack and false personality that we have created.

This sleep state can put us into a state of walking through life with a nagging feeling of wondering who we really are?

Does this make sense? Or can you relate?

I know I can.

Some people say life is all about find ourselves. Which I believe there is some truth to this.

And yet, I believe the truth of the matter is, when we are asking the question: Who am I? I think it comes down to losing oneself in the world, only to come back to our true essence.

In which I believe we were the closest we were to our true selves when we were children.

As children are not hindered by the need of caring much about what people think. They think big. They believe that anything is possible!

Remember those days?? I know I do, they were awesome

We can still think this way, on a side note.

And yet, lets stay focused on our subject at hand. Who am I?

When asking this question, I feel as if we need to harken back to the story of the Prodigal Son.

If you remember this story, it is about a father of whom has two sons. One of his sons is very loyal and spends all of the time with his father. He stays with him, works on the land with him, is loyal to a fault.

Partially because he wants the approval of the father.

And then we have the other son, the prodigal son. He is the black sheep of the family. He goes out and takes the inheritance that he received from the father.

He is at such a low from going this route in life, that he is eating from the same feed as the pigs he fed.

As he has nothing left.

Ashamed with himself, and having nothing left, he makes his way back to his fathers home. Expecting, of course, to be ridiculed and not taken back in.

But the exact opposite happens.

The father estatic. He has his other son, the perfect one, prepare a grand feast, as his son has come home.

This story, well it seems as if there are 3 people in the story.

But I believe there is one, and looking at it this way, can help us find ourselves. And answer, at least partially, the question of who am I.

IF we see it as it just being one person, US, then we can see how we are like all three.

Lets start with the perfect son. That is the one who wants to do everything by the book. Who wants to follow the path that is laid for him, to get the approval of the people who want this “certain” life for him/her.

They go to school, because their mom wants them to. They become a certain faith because they feel as if they won’t be accepted if they explore another one outside their family or friends.

The list can go on, but this is enough to make the point.

Most of us, have done a little or a lot of this. I know for certain, I have.

So, next lets explore the prodigal son. He is the version of us, of whom, if you are like me, have ventured off the good path.

Maybe we over-consumed alcohol. Or we sabotaged relationships. Ruin opportunities that were given to you. Or even cheated, lied or stolen.

We all fall short, of course, we are human. And yet, this prodigal son, is this version of ourselves.

And lastly, we have the father. The all loving, all forgiving, and essentially transcended person. As he can see past the limitation and ugliness of the world.

He holds no fault. He is the purest form of a father. He is not judgmental of the life his son led, he is simply glad that he is home and the past is the past.

This is the true essence of who we are. The one that transcends being the goodie two shoes, and transcends being the one of whom has lost his or her way.

This is the goal. To become the father figure in the story. The rising from the ashes of our two different ways of living. And become fully awake.

What Is The Answer To Who Am I

So you may have been thinking, wow what a great story, but Chris give me the meat man! How do I truly find myself and at least find some sort of peace, knowing that I know who I am, and can be that highest form of myself now?

Well, I am glad you asked. Let me offer you a few tips on how find out who you are so you can not only know thyself, but be and become your best self because of it.

Let Go of Weak Attractors (Trade Them For Stronger Ones)

It is said that addicts cannot give up habits, they must replace them.

And to an extent, we are all addicted to something. We all have a vice.

I got this advice from someone named David Hawkins in his book: Power vs Force. Where David goes into saying that in order to raise our consciousness, we need to give up weak attractors from strong ones.

Now what does that mean?

Well, it means that negative things in our life like drinking, doing drugs, not getting enough sleep, not eating good, holding onto grudges. These things are negative attractors, they attract more negative energy, and vibrate negatively.

No just flip things over here and you will find a positive attractor. As everything in the world has a negative and positive form to it.

In his book, he talked about how the more we do this, the more we can elevate our state of awareness.

And the highest level of awareness is essentially what is referred to as “Christ consciousness”. Pure consciousness where healing and true unconditional love and manifestation are commonplace.

Now this may not be the goal, and yet the more we rise up on the scale of consciousness, the more realized we become.

Realized meaning that we see our true selves, the rose colored lenses are taken off.

I found myself, by again losing myself through bad things like porn, alcohol and prescription and even street drugs at one point.

And then through discarding all of these, I was able to trade them with waking up early, meditation, working when I feel like caving in, hanging out with better people, and channeling a lot of my energy into reading self growth material and into my business.

And because of it, I have never felt so empowered, empathetic and liberated in my life. Which, I believe, are true essence qualities. As our true selves know no limits at all and have capacity to do pretty much anything in this life.

Trade bad habits for good habits.

Have The Talk! (Not birds and bees lol)

When I say this, I mean that we need to grow out of the version that cares what everyone else things. The goody two shoes son/daughter.

We need to permanently shed this skin as much as possible.

I don’t know if we can ever truly leave this version behind completely. I do know that there are ways in which we can leave a lot of it behind.

One of those ways is having the conversations we need to have with the people we are doing certain things for.

Communicating the fact that we love them dearly, and that is why we set out on a path to become a certain thing/person/career, etc.

But now, it is time for us to do our own thing.

These people usually just want the best for us, and what will happen is that they will most likely be very encouraging.

It isn’t that these people encouraged you to do things out of selfish motives, although that is possible. It is usually because of the fact that they thought you would be happy, successful, prosperous.

But having this conversation with these people will liberate us from the subconscious nagging that comes from doing things that aren’t in alignment with the true versions of ourselves.

Grow Out Of Caring

I start this one off with the word “grow” because of the fact that we need to grow from where we are, the little us, to become the big us.

Growth can take place from many things. But I can only really speak for myself when it comes to how to find myself. Answering the question of Who am I?

I have done this through meditation, reading self help books and listening to self help audiobooks.

So when it comes down to it, these 3 things have helped be grow more as a person. Which makes me feel bigger than my egoic needs of caring what people think.

It took me about 2 years of daily reading, listening and meditation, to really lock into the feeling of “I really like myself”.

I became more self assured. And the weird thing is, people liked me a lot more. I became nice to be around. It is like the world is a mirror, if you like yourself, the world will like you right back.

So not only did growing help me let go of wanting to be liked and wanting to do things for other peoples approval, it also naturally gave me those things too!

Find Something You Love, and Think In Decades Instead of Days

When we think in the short term, we lose our sense of identity. We don’t really lock in and we are vague about our goals. Because we simply don’t know if going after it full steam is worth trying.

I encourage you to truly lock in on a passion for your work. And then commit your life to become the best possible person at this thing.

Not for the sole purpose of beating everyone, but for the sole purpose of giving you a very solid identity around something you love dearly.

And when that happens, we steady ourselves into this role. We know that this is what we do, and people know that this is what we do. We eat, and sleep and do that.

And when we get outside validation for this, we secure even more into our identity.

Think about it as a do or die, you are going to live out your passion and “make it” no matter what happens. As long as it takes, we’ll go to whatever lengths.

Who Am I Questions

It is said that the better the questions we ask ourselves, the better the answers we get. Here are a couple questions that can help you find the answer to who am I.

1. What did I desire as a kid, to be and become?
2. How can I apply childlike thinking to my adult world?
3. What comes naturally to me?
4. What would I do with my life if I was completely financially free?

Create Good Core Values

Core values to me are something that essentially we adhere to no matter what. Or at least we truly put emphasis in our daily actions to maintain congruency and consistency with them.

I like to have 5 core values at a time. And of course, these aren’t set in cement.

They can be changed. They just need to be near and dar to your heart. They need to define YOU essentially.

So for example, mine would be:

1. Persistence
2. Family
3. Health/Wellness
4. Adventure
5. Humor

Not really in any particular order. Somedays, I may have to put family over my workout because I am feeling the need that my family life is slipping and I don’t want to let it go to much.

Or other days, I may need more humor in my life to get me to continue to persist through tough spots in my business.

They can interconnect and often time should connect. As they are like circuits in which can give one ore both more power when they do connect.

Conclusion To How Do I Find Out Who I Am Really

So I hope this helped. It is my journey thus far, and far from a manifesto or an “ultimate guide”.

And yet, it has helped become more self actualized. These actual tips. Even though I have a lot further to go, I am actually satisfied and grateful for how far I have come.

You may be further along on the journey than me, or you may be behind.

It doesn’t matter. Lets just begin where we are today, and try to become better each day. Essentially killing off unneeded and fake versions of ourselves. And letting our true essence shine through the cracks, until we are ultimately one day consumed by it and it overtakes us and becomes the new and forever us.

How To Become The Leader of Your Own Life

What does it take to become a leader? How do we become the leader of our own lives? What would it look like, sound like and feel like?

To me, I believe that leadership over ones life, is simply to live life on our own terms. We don’t answer to anyone or do anything that we don’t feel is congruent with our higher purpose.

We don’t let any outside stimuli influence us or our opinions. We have our own filter based on our core values. And also, we don’t let people put their limiting beliefs in our minds.

So when it comes to what is a leader, and what is leadership, this is what I believe. I could be wrong, but I really believe that leadership is leading our own life only, and if people follow, thats great.

But then again, leadership, in my opinion is taking the bull by your horns in your own life.

Staying in your own lane, and milking your full potential because of the fact that we are soley focused on ourselves. Not anyone else.

This gives us a lot of thought power. As when we are to external with our thought process, our mind is consumed by thoughts of others.

It simply comes down to this. Most of these thoughts about others have lack in them. We don’t want them to get ahead. We don’t want them to beat us or make it before us.

So instead, when we are only focused on growing and expanding and become more ourselves, our thoughts can experience less clutter. And the quieter our mind is, the more powerful our thoughts our.

It is like taking a magnifying glass as honing it in so powerful, it can burn something. That is how powerful a quiet mind with a positive thought is.

Of course, this can take a lot of work and essentially it is lifelong process.

So before we move forward, you and I need to commit to the lifelong process. Otherwise, we need to stop reading right here.

Because life is evolution if you take part in it. We are either growing or dying. You can sit still. Like a shark, if it stops moving forward it can die.

I see us like that. We are the super breed, the hybrid animal, the ruler of the kingdom we occupy.

We just need to keep moving forward as fast as possible to reach and fulfill our full potential and it will take a daily grind.

So, thats all nice and dandy right? But how do we truly become the leader of our own lives? Well, let me offer you a few suggestions that have helped me become a better leader of my own existence.

Turn the News OFF

Let me ask you a question, and be honest with me, how many times can you remember where the news displayed something positive?

I bet I can count it on one had if I reflect and really think about it. And they stand out so much because of the fact that it NEVER happens.

If you and I are going to become the leaders of our own life, we need to simply turn off the news.

Look, I understand that we all have to make a living. Unfortunately, the way I see it, the news job is to keep us in fear. Because fear is profitable.

It also, keeps us from evolving. Our level of consciousness never reaches it’s peak. And at worse, it actually digresses from the level at which we arrived at this earth at.

The scary part about it, is that most of the time when we watch TV, our mind is tired. We use it as an outlet to decompress and relax. We aren’t focused enough to put rationality to what we are seeing.

Or decipher what we believe to be true or not. It is all just accepted as fact.

So, today, I am encouraging you to turn off the news. And turn on a positive Youtube channel from the likes of my family like Tom Bileyu, Tony Robbins, Mel Robbins, Brene Brown, Lisa Nichols and Eric Thomas.

Of course, you can always just jump onto my blog anytime, I promise that there is only positive content on here 🙂

The Best Self Help Books (Of All Time)

The fact of the matter is, if we are not dictating what goes into our mind, we fall victim to whatever the other person/channel/avenue wants us to believe as truth.

So whenever you are tempted to watch the news, default back to positivity.

Become Self Employed

With the world we live in, it is easier to make at least part time if not full time money from our passions and being self employed.

The internet changed the game. And we have apps like Instacart and Uber where you can be self employed in a matter of minutes!

And, I am the type of person that was raised by a mother, who I love dearly, of whom thought the path to happiness and fulfillment was through full time corporate world work for me.

Of course, this is not a bad path at all, and yet I found myself through self employment.

I am not saying you have to do it as the only income stream(s) you have. And yet I highly suggest that you do a side hustle that makes you money either in your passion, and/or something like Instacart, Door Dash or Uber.

It gives you the ultimate feeling of taking the reigns in your life.

And also, if you are like me, there is an excitement in not having a stream of income guaranteed. As usually you can make more money than you could with guaranteed money. And it is exciting because of the fact that every day is different!

It Must be A MUST

Look, if we go out to lead our own lives and become a person known as a leader, we need to commit to it FULLY. No half a** stuff here.

When it should be done, we will do what is convenient. When we MUST do it, it becomes a do what ever it takes type of thing.

If we look back at our lives, the only time we made it  doing something, is when it became a must. An obsession.

Maybe it was someone you wanted to court to marry. Or a job you really wanted. Or to reach a certain income level.

It was like we cut off all other options to the contrary. We locked in, and committed.

Walk The Unpopular Path

Leadership means taking a stand in our lives. It is often times saying NO when we are afraid to say it. It is speaking your mind and your truth.

I can also be holding back when we want to get even.

It is doing things in a way to where you aren’t walking the way most people are walking.

Leadership is about becoming that black sheep in a sense. As most people, sorry to say it, are followers.

Not you and I though. Not even for one second.

A leader doesn’t want to be someones friend over telling someone what they want and need to hear.

They also keep their internal dialogue congruent with authenticity with themselves.

People who lead their own lives tell themselves what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.

If they are slacking in certain areas, there is no sugarcoating.

Leaders look themselves dead in the eye and tell it how it is, back to themselves.

They tell the truth to themselves and others. They aren’t worried about what the outcome will be from telling people the truth.

As they know, that this is real authentic love for themselves and the people they are speaking to. Anyone can lie to make a friend, it takes a true friend and a noble human being to say what is real.

Don’t Hold Grudges

For us to be leaders, we need to be progressive people. And we cannot be so, if we are constantly looking back to the past.

Live and let live.

We can’t be weighed down by the past if we want to lead our own lives. We need to be as light as possible in order to maneuver our way powerfully through this life.

To lead our own lives and the people that come with us, to the promised land.

Use Time Wisely

There is a beautiful quote, that I think sums this point up nicely:

“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made of.” – Bruce Lee

Leaders know that the clock is running out. There is so much time. So with that time, you and I can be making money, investing wisely, learning new skills.

If we do all these things, we will be getting more done, feel better about our lives and feel the sense of satisfaction that comes from progress. We can spend time with families, get fit and eat good, and engage in our hobbies.

We will also be limiting the amount of regrets we have at the end of each day as well at the end of our lives.

If we want to lead, we need to see time as currency and use it very wisely on things that will create a better us and a better environment around us.

Vision

This is the last part to our story today, and yet for sure the most important.

It is said in the good book, that without vision, the people parish.

Leaders know where they are going, and we can do the same if we have a vision for our lives.

We should have a big vision with many smaller visions.

And yet they should be so powerful that they pull us towards a better future. Otherwise, we can be inclined to look back to much when there were “better” times. Never moving forward at a rate that is required for leadership.

When it comes down to how to find meaning in life, living a meaningful life should be the pursuit. As if we start there, we at least have a direction to aim.

And once we are aiming in the right direction, our mind can become filled with thoughts that support this now pursuit.

Through repetition, we are programing our subconscious brains to seek out what we want. Seek and ye shall find.

But without meaning, we are like the best ship ever created, but with now rudder to push us through the sea and into the promised land.

So once we set the intention of finding meaning in life, then we are starting to put ourselves on the right track.

It can’t just be a faint desire either.

As when we “should” do something, we will do it if it is convenient.

It is only when we MUST do something that we tend to attain it, and much faster than going at it haphazardly.

So today, I encourage both of us to absolutely make it a must that we live a meaningful life.

And instead of quitting early, we will keep driving. When we don’t want to do something that will impact ourselves or others, we forge ahead anyways.

Today is the day where both of us rise from our old ashes, doing away with the self that with OK with mediocrity.

Today is the day you and I decide that mediocrity can no longer be aloud to fly.

I believe that you and I were created to become great. To do amazing things. To live a grand life. To have it all.

And from this day forward, we are taking the first step to doing just that.

How To Find Meaning In Life

Commit FULLY

The way I see it, we cannot feeling like we have meaning when we are not committing the the things in our lives. I mean fully committing.

Lets say we get into a job, or try our hand at sales.

And we say something of the sort:

“I’ll just try it and see how it goes”

Or

“I’ll hit it hard for 3 months, and if nothing takes off by then, I’ll try something else.

Even the things in our personal lives. Like a romantic relationship.

We give it a try, and if the slightest thing is off, we abandon it. Or we are in a relationship, but we are still in love with our last person. Or we are simply not really working hard at better our current relationship even if we truly love the person.

In order to have meaning in life, we need to show up fully. We need to go through life committed to crossing the finish line.

If we are half a**ing a relationship, it is time for us to buckle down and love that person fully. To bring them gifts, to tell them you love them more often, and to listen to how their days went at the end of the day.

If we start a new job and have a plan B, we need to severe that plan B. Or simply find something that you can give your heart completely to.

We need to just KEEP GOING. Full speed ahead. And commit to the long haul.

Only then can our lives take on more meaning.

Live Life Passionately

But I am saying that we want to be lively in this life. We want to walk around with energy and zest. We want to move with purpose. Walk fast. Get places. And when we get there, BE THERE. Be present with people and in the moment.

I want to challenge you and myself, we will do it together, to up our energy a notch. To talk a little louder, to project our voices. To walk with more urgency. And to smile and emote more fully.

Don’t hold back. This life is too short to reserve our feelings and selves. Live big, live full, die empty.

If we do this, we are living outside ourselves. We are interacting and dancing with the world. And the world with dance back with us because of it.

Focus on THEM Not You

Have you ever noticed that the people that make the biggest impact on us are the people that listen to us the most? Who give us the floor. Of whom make us feel special?

I know I can think of the beautiful souls who have done this for me.

And yet, lets place ourselves in their shoes. How does it feel when we step outside ourselves and truly let other people have the spotlight?

I know I feel amazing when I do this.

It is like a dance with the other person with their emotions when I am complimenting them. Or asking them WHY they got into their career they are in. Or simply asking them about how their day was.

When we become that person more often, we are now creating positive ripples in the universe. And because what we give out, must come back, we feel amazing because of it.

People will love when we come into the room and we will feel as if we are making an impact because we are making peoples lives better.

Contribute

The most intense feelings of joy I have every felt was when I was either giving back, with money or time, or thinking about ways to give back that I can implement into my world.

I don’t know what it is, but when I do this, I feel overwhelmed with joy. I feel as if my life matters as I am helping my fellow human.

Plain and simple, integrate some sort of giving back into your life. And your life will overflow with joy.

Appreciate Small Things

When it comes down to it, finding meaning in life doesn’t have to be this huge thing. I feel as if we can find more meaning in our worlds by simply slowing down and appreciating the things we have.

Something as little as having enough food for dinner in the fridge. To not living in a tough neighborhood. To having clean water.

So many things we have, others in the world do not. We are blessed and highly favored. And when we see things this way, our life takes on more meaning.

I know that I am most miserable and feel the most meaningless when I am not living in gratitude. When I am focusing on lack. There is truly abundance in our lives, we just have to acknowledge it.

And the fact of the matter is, gratitude releases feel good endorphins. Making us feel happier. What a win win.

If we are constantly looking to hit the homerun or score that touchdown, we will never appreciate the base hits or picking up those couple yards.

All the small things ultimately lead to the big win anyways.

Eat Good and Workout

We are literal machines. And just like if you aren’t greasing the machine, it isn’t going to rune as smoothly and effectively and it is going to break down easily.

We cannot be and become our best selves if we are tired and overweight.

It is easy to feel lessing meaningful in life when we are this way.

So today, let’s truly commit to altering our diet. Not perfection. Let’s go with 80/20.

Eighty percent of the time, we are going to be eating good whole foods. And twenty percent of the time, we can cheat and eat unhealthy foods.

This will give our lives more meaning for the simple fact that we will feel better. We will be operating better. And because of that, we will feel more purposeful in EVERYTHING we do.

There are so many benefits of working out that will add life to your years, and years to your life.

What Does Meaning Mean To You?

When we set goals, often times we will just say that we want more money. We want a better job. We want to be more happy.

But the vagueness is what keeps us where we are. We can’t measure it as there is no true metric.

If we want more money and we are making 50K a year, lets start with making 65K next year.

Otherwise if we say that we want more money, OK well someone gives us a buck, there we go, we now have more money!

So what does living a life of meaning mean to you?

To me, it means living life on my own terms. Contribution that is connected to my profession. As well one day impacting millions of people with my posts and articles, in a positive manner.

The bigger the better, but not too big to where it overwhelms you.

We can for sure look forward to the mountain top. But as cliche as it sounds, we need to fall in love with the journey to the top.

I mean we can anticipate the top most or all of our lives, thinking that we will be happy when we “get there”.

But we can choose to be happy along the way. To stop and look out every now and then. To smell the flowers and sweet air. To appreciate the feeling of the climb on our feet and on our bodies.

Let be happy in the here and now. And do say day in and day out. We are going to “Make it”. It will happen. Just have faith and let go. Everything is happening at just the right pace.

Live Your Truth

For me, truth is entrepreneurship. For you, it may be climbing the corporate ladder. For others, it may mean traveling to learn about the world and other cultures.

Often times we want to navigate the world with someone else’s map. And when we do this, we naturally feel lost.

We can start to feel like we are going the right direction by following our own map. Not the map someone laid out for us.

This map someone laid out for us can come in the form of wanting to please people in our lives by going into the same profession as them. Or that we take certain work because we feel that is the only way to become successful.

Or we take on certain work to please the opposite sex to try to have the best chance at attracting a mate into our lives.

The fact of the matter is, that when we do this, we feel lost. And when we feel lost, we cannot feel any sort of meaning in our lives.

Live your truth. Do things because YOU want to do them. Not because someone else wants you to do them or you feel like you should because it is the “right” way to do things.

What We Can Learn From the 2020 Election

First off, I want to make this very clear that this isn’t a post that is going to favor one side.

If you are absolutely certain your candidate walks on water, then I believe you can be in denial about other things too! JK.

In all honesty, I believe that happiness, or lack thereof, comes from what WE do. How WE think. What we are reading and listening to. And the people we surround ourselves with.

So again, I am making it clear, that happiness is an internal job. It doesn’t rely in the hands of someone who is in the Oval Office.

And until we start to think that way, we will give outside forces too much power.

Go to work on yourself if your candidate lost. Or if they won, that is fantastic, congratulations!

No matter what though, we need to seek first within, and grow ourselves to a point, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. So that we never THINK someone the power to make or break us.

Now that we got that out of the way, let me share with you what we can take from the 2020 election. The lessons it taught me, that I can share with you, that I feel can impact you and you and I can implement them into our own lives to become a person that relies mostly on ourselves for happiness.

As well as grow into a person than doesn’t have to find solace in extremes because we create and take our identity from all the growth and positivity that we are engaging in.

Lets get started.

What We Can Learn From The 2020 Election (Positive)

FACT: When it comes down to it, lets start out with Kamala Harris. Who is vice president elect.

She is not only a woman, but a woman that identifies as a person of color. Multiple ethnicities that are now “white”.

I mean, no matter what you think of her, good or bad, we have to admit that this is progress in the world. A woman did what no other woman has done yet.

That is fantastic and admirable.

LESSON: No matter what odds are against you, you can make it. If people say it can’t be done because it never has been done before, then guess what? When you do it, you will be the first to ever do it.

And not only is it wonderful when someone does this, it also means that it creates a new mindset throughout the entire world. Making it easier for people in the same position, to BELIEVE they can do it too. BECAUSE someone broke the mold.

In science, this is called an M field.

Very cool.

FACT: Donald Trump preaches authenticity.

If you like him or hate him, you have to admit he says whatever is on his mind. And truly has believe and conviction in it.

He is who he is. And we know that often times we are going to be offended by the things he says.

LESSON: If we can take just one lesson from Donald Trump, I believe it is to stay congruent with who you are.

I know there are people that said he is in denial or is lying, whatever whatever.

And yet, in my opinion, it takes true vulnerability not to say things how people want to hear them, but say whatever is on your mind and not care who likes it and who hates it.

In our lives, often the problems with have are with not communicating in a direct and authentic way.

Often times we can beat around the bush. Not saying what is truly on our heart. Or having fear of saying something that might offend someone.

I believe that if we say the things that are on our heart, we can certainly communicate in a more healthy way. Without suppression. And the science has even said that this is truly the most healthy way to communicate.

Stand strong in your beliefs. Be firm in your conviction. And speak purely as your message will only be as clear as your communication style is.

He also will fight til the death. This is another quality that has to be admired as often times, we may be to scared to fight for what we believe in.

Whether there is actual fraud going on or not, he believes what he believes and he is willing to do whatever it takes to win.

This, I think, is a great warrior mentality that we need to be taking in every area of our life. Go in to win, expect to win, plan to win and then execute on every level possible.

FACT: Joe Biden has been in politics, up to the point of the election, for 47 years. This is obviously a person that has very good perseverance.

He has ran twice before, and didn’t obtain head of state. But he kept coming back and fighting.

LESSON: What Joe Biden can truly teach us is the lesson that perseverance truly pays off.

Often times, and I know I am very guilty of this, that we can give up to easily and too early on. It isn’t happening for us like we thought or wanted it to. And within a couple months or years of trying, we throw in the towel.

Nothing is guaranteed in life. And yet, if we just KEEP GOING, it is more likely that we will make it then if we give up after a certain amount of time.

We never fail at something, unless we give up completely. Otherwise, I think, we are already successful, even if we haven’t made it.

As we are pursuing a worthy ideal. Something that means so much to us, that we will keep trying, in spite of the odds, no matter how many years have passed, and how many disappointments we have.

And I think this is a quality that we all can respect.

FACT: Loyalty May Be Forever, Or it May Be Temporary, Or It May Be Time To Switch

That fact of the matter is, there we a lot of people who switched sides on Donald Trump when he lost.

LESSON: And, when adversity is brought upon someone, you quickly learn who your true friends are. 

Even if they don’t support what you are saying or doing, they support YOU.

And the people who were fake, they are nowhere to be found.

And I may be the odd man out saying this, and yet I think this is the best thing that can ever happen in life.

Tough times can not only make us stronger, it can also trim the fat away from the people who don’t deserve a place in our life. And rightfully reward the ones who do.

With love and loyalty and respect. KNOWING these people will have your back, no matter what.

Like the old saying goes:

“It is better to have one true friend, than a thousand fake ones.”

And this goes for the left as well.

Donald Trump actually got more non-white votes than any Republican president since 1960.

And this doesn’t have to do with loyalty. This is letting go of your pride, for the people who voted for Donald Trump, seeing in their eyes, that this candidate was going to help them more, and may have already been helping them more.

So this isn’t fake-ness, this is life reevaluation, which is a very positive thing to do at any point in your life.

Sometimes, it is good to make a change. And again, if it feels right in your heart, whose to say you shouldn’t or are wrong?

FACT: Someone Has To Win, Someone Has To Lose

There can never be two winners. Of course you want your team to win. And a lot of the fun of going to the game is that we can talk a little smack about the other team.

And yet, when we head to the parking lot to drive home, there will stand a champion, and there will stand a team or individual who has to take the L.

LESSON: It is all in how we take the Wins and Losses in our lives. This is my lesson that I am sharing with you.

I think that no matter what happens, we need to be handling it with grace.

If we win, we celebrate humbly.

If we lose, we congratulate the winners. They were maybe more prepared, more disciplined or worked harder in the off season.

The fact of the matter is, WHEN the losses come in life, not IF, we need to USE them to our benefit.

It SUCKS to lose, we all know this. And yet difficult situations and hardships introduces a man to himself.

And during this introduction, we can choose to deny the meeting with ourselves.

Or we can do a live autopsy on ourselves. And look at WHY we lost. HOW we can get better. And HOW we can come back stronger next time and ultimately hopefully come out on top.

And then, it is time to get to work.

Lock yourself in the office, throw away the key.

Work on yourself, refine your skills, reevaluate your core values if need be. And when you have this new strength, a key is no longer needed to get out.

You kick the door wide open, and walk into a WHOLE NEW WORLD.

Where either you win, or learn.

 

How To Keep Going When Everyone Else Is Giving Up

 

We all admire that person that just keeps pushing. Even though they may even seem delusional at some point, that it will never happy for them, they simply refuse to give up.

They keep hitting and hammering and kicking that wall, and then one day after years or even decades of of hitting that wall, that sucker flies open.

And this new person that just pops on the scene, is hailed as an overnight success.

When they could have been rapping underground for years, playing piano in divebars with people disrespecting them for countless 100’s of nights. Or they’ve been getting side acting gig after side acting gig and then one day they show up on the set of a Ron Howard movie set after being “discovered”.

There is a romance to all of this. Also a deeply rooted anxiety in which we may feel that we have the potential. That we are like a souped up muscle car, ready to hit tops speeds, if we could only get someone to open the garage for us.

And yet, that reward is not promised. And that is where a lot of the anxiety comes from. Along with where you and I can get stuck.

Some people may never even start because of the fact that there is no promise. No guaranteed massive returns on investments of countless hours and years of grinding for our short and long term goals.

And look I am coming to you in process here, I have not “made it” as big with blogging and real estate even close to as big as I want to or that I continuously envision upon awakening and going to sleep envisioning it each night.

And yet, I will bring to you what has worked for me to keep going to keep persevering. And hopefully ultimately write my follow up, part 2 to you in a couple years or even at the end of my life, sharing with you that it was all worth it.

That I made it, and that you can to.

So below, it is not perfect, but it is a list of tips on how to persevere when you want to throw in the towel.

In hopes that it sparks something deep within you, the giant within if you will, that refuses to give up. And maybe, just maybe, it will be the list you need to where you were about to quit and give up. But because of this list, you keep going and ultimately we read about you one day.

I wrote this one for you my friend.

How To Keep Going When All Hope Seems Lost

Remember the Dark Times

It is said that we have both a light and a dark side. I mean even the genesis and basis of the smallest origins of human anatomy, have a light and dark, or a proton and neutron.

Negative and positive.

Even in a biblical and diabolical sense, it is always a fight between good and evil. And who will prevail.

No one knows, and yet I feel as if our darkness is encouraged to be remained hidden. That we are encouraged or at least feel as if we have to act as if everything is perfect. That we have it all together. And yet, we all know that is BS.

No one has it all together. And when we act like we do so, we are missing out on a big piece of the puzzle, again in my opinion, that can take us past the point of wanting to give up. To break through our preconceived wall of where we feel we are going to give up. And ultimately have that breakthrough we so desperately need to give us at least a smidgeon of hope. That little bit we need to keep our wheels turning just long enough to get to the top of the hill.

So back to our darkness, I think that we can truly use our dark times to drive us.

When we are ready to give up on our plan A, or just in life in general, we can think back to the times where we lost that loved one. To where the love of our lives walked out on us. To where the person we thought would come through for us never did.

And then FEEL those emotions again. As if we are experiencing it in the here and now.

We can use these emotions to drive us. As right now, they me consciously or subconsciously essentially anchors for us.

We need to use this darkness to bring us to the light. And by experiencing these emotions of these let downs and set backs, we see that we are still alive. Still breathing. That we broke through. That we survived. And that we are surviors.

Let it fuel you instead of siphon the gas out of you. Get to a point of anger and disgust with that part of your life. Then let it launch you from your platform.

Keep going and forging ahead. Not because these people hurt or betrayed you. But instead because you are now mastering your dark side. And bleeding out its power from it. Because the darkside likes to think it has it’s hold on you.

But when you can use the darkness, you are now the true master, and ultimately it will dissipate through productive forward action in spite of what has happened to us.

Fall In Love With Micro Failures

Again, we all romanticize about the big win. The one that puts us in the spotlight. Or at least one big enough to feel like our lives matter. That we have what it takes. And that we are making good use of our time here on earth.

But if we don’t learn to love the little failures just as much as the big win, then we will never make it.

We can either dig our own grave or dig ourselves out of the grave, all with the same shovel.

We have the power, so never forget that fact.

And yet, we can start piling these little failures on top of ourselves until we suffocate.

And the only way out of this pile is to stop piling and bail out and give up.

Or is it?

Instead of using these blocks to burry ourselves, why not use them as stepping stones?

That when we reach a micro failure, the deal falls through, the client doesn’t show for our meeting or someone we thought was meant to be, turns out simply not so. We can see it as something that will put us on the ultimate path towards the true and ultimate success and big win that we desire.

We need to be seeing it as a sign post that tells us to simply go a different direction.

Sure we may hit detours on our way to our destination. That does not mean we just pack up, turn around and go home, right?

No, the GPS recalculates and we go on a different road or highway, and the best part is that we are still MOVING FORWARD even if it takes a little longer.

Look at it this way, the more micro failures you have, the more you have a chance to win big.

Love them, cherish them even. This is part of the game. It always has been and always will be.

If the path didn’t have them, these destination it leads to will not be beautiful and soul fulfilling. It just won’t.

Envision yourself, right here and now, on how you feel after you have took your bruises, took your lumps. After you have fallen and risen and fallen and risen over and over. And ultimately, like the phoenix, you rise from your own ashes, the ultimate win.

Transcending the self that kept telling you to quit. To throw in the towel. The one that worried about what people thought. The one that you’ve dealt with all your life, trying to make you take the easy road.

You once and for all, die to that self. And are reborn into a new state of consciousness. And when consciousness expands on this level, you NEVER go back to the old state of consciousness.

Keep going, celebrate your little failures, because you know that they are simply little roadblocks leading you away from the client or person that isn’t meant for you faster. Hence setting you on the path at a more rapid rate, towards your hearts desires.

And again, embrace that micro failures are part of the process. Engrain this into your skull. Accept that this is a big time fact. And after you and I have accepted this, we can move forward with a knowing that this is what it is. And we will win no matter what.

Don’t Care What People Think

I know I have been caught in this trap before. Where I either refuse to actually get started on something because someone has told me it can’t work. Or that the market is impacted. Or it is a recession. ETC.

Or I let peoples voices have too much power over me. I let their negative and limiting beliefs replay, over and over in my head. Giving them way to much internal credit.

People will project how they feel THEY would do in the things you are trying to do. They are reflecting back their own insecurities to you.

Plain and simple, they are showing us how THEY feel on the inside.

So let’s say you are trying to become a realtor. And that person comments that there are too many people trying to fight for business, and that because of that, you will never get any of the business.

All they have said, in laymans terms, is that they feel as if they could never have what it takes to compete in a market that is impact. And the fact of the matter is, what market isn’t impacted!?

They way you handle this is to always search for a belief that you can come up with that supports you persevering and ultimately winning.

In this case, you can choose to think with more of a growth mindset and abundance mindset.

Buy Into Denial

This may seem incredibly counter intuitive and yet, I can’t emphasize how important denial can be.

When it comes down to it, realists are more accurate and optimists are more productive and tend to not give up as easy.

I think they are using denial more so than trying to “see things as they are”. Sometimes you need to see things better than they are. To fake yourself into keeping going.

Realists tend to see the world in a way to where they let reality dictate what they are going to do or how they are going to act.

And yet, I think there is a better way. Like Tupac Shakur said:

“Reality is wrong, dreams are for real.” 

When we are constantly living through our dreams, we are living in a alternate reality in a sense. Where we take action based on a more abundant reality.

We are seeing things as they could be, which can be much better place to operate from than often times what our current reality looks like.

So use the heck out of denial. When people state things that seem realistic but are counter productive to you staying in the game, put the denial up.

Laugh at them and wish the best for them. Don’t get caught up in their limiting beliefs, and then go back to work.

Just tell yourself that you are almost there, that it is going to happen soon, that the breakthrough is right around the corner. Even if it is not or appears not to be.

Hang Out With People That Are Climbing

No matter how good we are doing in life, and how good our current close friends are doing, we can get caught in a state of being stagnant. If we are not growing.

I think that the most important ingredient in us MAKING it to where we want to be, is simply going to come from the people we hang out with, people we date or are married to and the books/content we consume.

With are either growing our dying. And the sources above are either watering our seed or they are not watering it and contributing to it drying out.

Hang out with people who are in pursuit of becoming their best self. Who are never satisfied. Who are not content with the stat quo. And who aren’t stuck where they are and not willing to grow.

And the same goes for you and me. We need to continue to grow to. If we aren’t growing, we are dying. And if we are dying, that means so are our dreams, goals and visions for our life.

Action, Always

Action is the cure all for the negative voices and limiting beliefs that we can experience when we are ready to give up.

Become a person that is relentless. Tell yourself that you keep going when other give. Up that you act not matter how you feel.

Plain and simple. Keep that as your daily mantra. I promise that if you do, your brain will one day accept that as reality. And you will start responding to that mantra with something like “damn right I am”.

There Is No Making It

Lastly, but I think most importantly is that we need to see life in a way to where we don’t “arrive”.

Beauty, joy, growth and success can be found in the journey more so than the destinations. I mean the fun of going on vacation is often times most found in exploring the new destination.

Of course you have to lay on the beach and bask in the sun.

And yet, if we see the journey as being the most fulfilling part, it will give us the energy and steam necessary to wake up, day in and day out, and get after it.

I think that if we do this, we have the best shot and “Making it” at a much bigger level than we could if we arrived and put it in park.

Fall in love with the journey, they people you meet on the journey, but be the person that keeps climbing the mountain. Not because you want to get to the peak, but because you want to enjoy the pursuit itself. Let the top just being the icing on the cake. And then look off into the distance with anticipation and excitement. For in the distance is a higher and more intimidating mountain.

Which you are now more prepared to climb after reaching the last peak.

The million looks big and bright and great right now. And yet if our character in our story goes with option B, at the end of the 30 days, they have $5,368,709.52.

So the point here is that it is all about the compound affect. Sure you may use affirmations and simply state them and feel a quick buzz.

And yet, if we want them to take on a power of their own, we need to be stating them often and with emotion and power behind them.

The best time, I feel, to state affirmations is in the morning right when we wake up and right before we go to bed.

We can imprint the subconscious much easier at these times of day.

So again, the point here is to use them with repetition, day in and day out. Everyday, even for a year or two before you see the power really take hold of your life. And once they do, it will be like a tidal wave, that you never saw even building because it was all happening underground.

If you are like me, you have gone through a good amount of trials and tribulations. Life can really stack them on us at times right?

I mean the feeling of relentless comes to mind. Where it can feel like a 12 round fight. Constantly battling, getting knocked into the ropes, unable to get out. Just trying to protect ourselves.

The fact of the matter is, we can choose to, at any moment, to let go of who we were in order to become what we were meant to be.

We don’t have to be tied to being a certain person.

Sure we may have worked hard to become this person. Maybe you or I went to college for 4 years and was on a path to do something that, at the time, felt right.

Or we were doing so because that was the “right thing” to do. Or that our parents, teachers or friends said we should do so and we just followed suit.

The first step on how to start over in life, is to not be judgmental about the journey. When we were younger, we were moldable.

We wanted to get it right, and we had little to go off of to base our decision.

So naturally we looked outside of ourselves for answers.

Sure we may have made the “wrong” choice at the time. And yet that doesn’t mean it was wrong for THAT us. We needed direction and we went with a certain direction.

We need to realize that everything happens for a reason. And that if we become aware in life, we can start to get on the right track. The right track on a soul level, the reason we showed up on this earth.

We just need to become aware of the discontent within our souls. To not block these feelings out.

Let Go of Of Being Too Old/Too Young

The tip to how to start over in your life is to do away with the notion that somehow we are too old, or even too young to do something.

Look at it this way, if someone your age has done something you want to do, then so can you!

Also, if no one has ever done the thing you want to do, then you can be the first person to ever do it! So either way, you have the chance to win and start over in life successfully.

This is simply a limiting belief that we need to be letting go of.

Even if it may feel 100 percent true to you and I, we need to ask ourselves “Is this belief serving us?”

The answer is probably not. It isn’t serving our positive belief in ourselves to change and transform into the person we want to be.

Let it go!

Let Go of Safety 

We can either be safe on the shore, and never know the waves. Or we can let go our fears and venture our into the waves, explore the depths of the ocean.

Yes it may be incredibly scary to do so. And yet, our struggles define our journey.

We can either live even keel, and never venture out of your comfort zone.

Or we can commit to the rollercoaster of life. We can get on, knowing there will be highs and lows and everything in between. But the highs are going to be that much more amazing because we experienced and went through the lows.

That life will become more beautiful because we are truly LIVING.

Embrace the fear of starting over. Yes, it will be painful. Yes it will be scary. Yes it will be worth it.

You will get to the end of the fears and drama and pain, and look back on it and realize you were brave enough to go through the valley of the shadow of death, death of your old ego, and come out more beautiful and transformed than ever.

Cut Off People Who Don’t Support The Journey

When it comes down to it, when you are waking up, there still will be people who are asleep on their journey.

You will feeling disconnected and like you are breaking off from the group.

Naturally, certain people will not want you to leave them behind.

We need to be prioritizing our growth and transformation.

We need to go through it with or without those people.

They will either get it and choose to keep rolling with us and go through their own transformation, or they won’t.

Either way, we need to keep forging ahead.

Commit To The Process

We should not be going in half hearted. We need to be going in with the attitude of never going back. That the old us is dead because there is not enough life to live, living a life that isn’t congruent with the new us.

Allow yourself to awaken fully to the manifestation of your new self. Allow yourself to rise from your own old ashes.

Cut off all other possibilities of going back to the old you.

Don’t prioritize comfort, prioritize growth and the process.

Like Will Smith says:

“There’s no reason to have a plan B, because it distracts from plan A.” 

Don’t Look Back

It is said, that the most successful and happy people in the world don’t look back, they only look forward in anticipation.

The fact of the matter is, that the past isn’t us anymore. It is gone and done. There is no need to stay there anymore. We are already passed through that town.

We must keep driving to our next destination.

We were only supposed to pass through it, not take residence there.

When you and I are starting out new life, we need to completely cut off from the past.

Not only do we not look back, the past also doesn’t define our new journey.

We need to be giving little to no emotional charge to it anymore. We can’t move forward fully if we have one foot in and one foot out.

 Don’t Look At It as OVER

The phrase “starting over” has a feeling to it as if you failed at your first attempt at something that that you got nothing out of it.

Like it is some sort of bankruptcy or something. As if you are in ruin and somehow should feel some sort of shame.

This just isn’t the case.

You gleaned so much value on your way to your starting over.

And I am encouraging you and I to see starting over as a simple “reset”.

Let’s use the power of words to our benefit. We are resetting and our new direction in life will be forged through the strength and life lessons we learned on our way to getting off on this new exit and heading a different direction.

You are not starting over with a blank slate or doing the whole climb again. See it as how far you have come and you are simply doing something new.

Keep It To Yourself

At first, when it comes to how to start over in life, it is better for us to keep quiet about our new journey.

The less feedback about it, the better.

As feedback is only going to come in the form of peoples biases. No in a malicious way, it is just fact.

We all communicate from our own viewpoint and frames of the world. As we all have had different experiences, hold different beliefs and see the world differently.

That is completely fine. And yet, peoples perspectives can taint our journey.

If you are like me, I have let people talk me out of doing things. Maybe they had a bad experience and I let it discourage me from taking more action than I should have taken.

This can come from people with good intentions, more so than not. Although it can also come from people who tried something and it didn’t work out. So they don’t want you to succeed at it because it will reflect their own insecurities about giving up.

Regardless of whether peoples feedback is pure or not, it can get in the way of us starting over and fully committing to going in another positive direction with our lives.

Don’t Give Into Guilt

Guilt will arise when we are looking to make a change in our lives. When we are looking to switch things up.

Society in general tries to box us in. It makes us think that there is only one path to happiness, success and fulfillment.

This structure, whether pre-meditated or not, can cause us not to take action towards a life that is more fulfilling than the structure we’ve been told to follow.

Go to school, get good grades, get a good job, work there for your entire career and then retire.

Sure this probably worked great decades ago. And yet, it just doesn’t produce the same results anymore.

Plus with more options in the world, we are able to explore our passions and find more purpose in life.

But this old school way of thinking may need to go. And when we break away and have paradigm shifts, we naturally feel a sense of guilt.

Guilt coupled with fear is going to follow.

And yet, this inner turmoil, I believe, is an indicator that you are on the right path.

I am not saying that this original structure still can’t help to find your way in life. I just think it is effective for a very small amount of people in life.

Unfortunately, we are not encouraged to go outside this structure at all in our early life. We tend to think that “this is it”.

There are different routes to happiness and fulfillment. And when it comes to how to start over in life, lets let go of any guilt that may come with trying to break away from the “path” set before us.

And take pride and walk with courage onto our own path. There will be light at the end of the tunnel where the guilt will dissipate. Just keep walking.

Get In Line With Your Core Values

I am not saying what your parents, teachers, friends and other family members want. I am asking you to get real about what you really want in this life. What stands true to your inner you. Is is courage? Adventure? Love? Significance?

Hone in on 3-5 core values that this new you will stand for and stand by. This will create a sort of roadmap for your new life.

Keep them on you. Tape them on your mirrors at home. Make them your background for your phone. Let them guide you into this new land.

Permission To Explore

When you and I are starting over in your life, we need to be looking, searching and finding. And rinsing and repeating. Allow yourself to really just try things. Try everything to find the new you.

Seek and ye shall find. Knock it and it will be opened unto you. Just keep seeking and keep knocking. We will find ourselves through the action we take.

Don’t judge your new path. If it doesn’t look “successful” to the world, who cares?

First off, most people don’t even make it to this start of existence and evolution. So right there, you are already ahead of the game.

So try things, go on dates, engage with people and things the old you wouldn’t.

Exploration leads to finding.

Our lives don’t have to be bland and black and white. We can color outside the lines. We don’t have to give the right answers to the questions on the test anymore. As we are writing the tests and our answers are open to interpretation.

Don’t Fall Into the Trap People Are Thinking About You

Look, this may be blunt, but most of us think about ourselves 95% of the time or more.

So when it comes down to it, most people are just not thinking about us as much as we think they are.

So all in all, when we feel as if people are judging us for being on a new path, they are probably simply thinking about themselves. And/or jealous that we have the courage to start over.

There are a lot of people out there who want to change but will never do so, because the unknown is too scary for them. And they will regret this on their deathbed. Not you and me my friend.

Make It A Must

Starting over takes a lot of energy and a lot of breakthrough through fear and old paradigms.

It is said when something is a should, we do what is convenient. And yet when it is a must, we do what is required.

Make starting over in life a must. That you will do what it takes and go through all that you need to in order to completely start and begin anew.

Engrain it into your new identity that you are in the process of transformation and rebirth.

And if you and I do this, we will make it to the other side of what is known as “the dark night of the soul” and come out completely transformed, stepping out of our old skin.

And truly embodying our own real truth. Our transcended self will simply be what was there the whole time, we just covered it with the false self.

Identify What Made You Go Off Course In The First Place

No matter how new or long we have been on the wrong path, we went on it for a certain reason.

I know for me, I went the school and corporate world path originally because my mom said it was the best path to find success.

I love my mom dearly and didn’t want to let her down, so I just blindly went down that path.

I found out, or rather accepted about myself, years later that I was more of an entrepreneur. Since then, I have let go of seek and finding her love by going down the path she shared with me.

And guess what, she still loves me! Just as much.

We can do things out of fear that someone will not love us if we buck the system.

When it actuality, these people just want was is best for us. And are just trying to help us get the best start and find out best selves in this life.

It may take having a conversation with someone that is getting in the way of you living a new life. And after having this conversation, it can and will set you free to live the life that is on your heart, not one that was never for you.

Obstacles are the things that stand in the way of our finish line. And by getting rid of the biggest obstacles we have to starting new, the other obstacles will look like mere speed bumps instead of mountains, on the way to our new life.

Don’t Worry About Being Wrong

On our journey anew, we will feel like we are doing things wrong. This feeling is natural. We will feel this way often when we are going down a different path. We won’t feel like we are quite on the horse properly. That we are going to fall off.

And at times, we may do just that. But we can get back on just as fast as we fall off. We can fail our way forward. And we can ultimately get better with change. And change will come and feel more natural once we really get into a grove.

Be OK with drifting and go the wrong way for a bit. The fact of the matter is, again, if we keep seeking, we will find. Even it we have to go on another detour to the ultimate goal.

Hire A Life Coach

There are great people in this world who are trained at guiding something through the dark night of the soul. When there is upheaval and uprooting going on in someone’s our lives, they can help us navigate through it faster. And ultimately reach some sort of higher ground. Some flatter ground.

There is no shame in doing this. Give some thought to hiring a mentor and/or a life coach.

See Your Change As A Work In Progress

We don’t have to uproot every single area of our lives when starting over, if we don’t have to.

It can be helpful with just doing one thing at a time so that we don’t get overwhelmed.

We can maybe start by simply moving to a new home and starting new there. Or cleaning up our car or environment. This will start positive change in motion. Start doing certain things differently.

Lets tackle one thing, get some momentum and some confidence in your journey. Then we can take on bigger and more intimidating change.
