- 1 What Is A Vision Statement?
Personal Vision Statement Definition: Goals in one’s life tied to the values and morals one wants their life to echo. Creating massive results. And a deeply fulfilling and hopeful life.
PRO TIP – A vision statement is looking through the lens of future possibility. Not current reality.
A vision statement is essentially a statement that resonates with your core values. It is something that is so aligned with your purpose for you life. Mixed with who you want to become and be remembered by.
It is not a concrete formula. And yet it is solid enough to where you know you won’t deviate from it for a long time.
It is more of the foundation to which you add to as you become more and do more. As you grow, it may change. Or it may stay exactly the same.
It is a couple sentences at most. That essentially defines the true you. The purposeful you. The unlimited you.
A phrase so powerful that you live your entire life by it. It is like a map with the only directions you will ever need to get to your destination.
It is not loosely created though. It is something that can take time to develop. Although often times, it can be spit out right here and now. As authenticity comes from spur of the moment actions and verbalization.
No matter which route your choose, creating a vision statement is something that I truly believe EVERYONE must do. As it is a strong reminder of where you are going.
We can go on autopilot a lot of the times in our life. And having something to bring our awareness to, can be extremely powerful.
When we are down and out, we can go to the vision statement. When we are elevated, we can go back to the vision statement to push us harder and further. Along with stay congruent with our beliefs and the human we are trying to become.
The vision statement is something to where you define your life.
As most people in this life have no purpose. They simply wake up. Do enough work to get to the end of the week and still get paid. Then distract themselves all weekend, suppressing the thoughts about having to go back to work.
This is NOT you. You are different. That is why you are reading this article.
And by the end of it, you will have all you need to create a vision statement that rocks your own world. One that gives you chills. One that when you look at it, it is pure truth. That speaks truth to who you are, who you are seeking to become. And what the world will remember you by.
Something that will be more far reaching in it’s essence. Someone you long to become, but have the potential to become. It will be something that PUSHES you from behind. Creating more willpower in your to get the job done. Do the studying you need to. Network with the people you need to. Give that extra ounce of effort in before throwing in the towel.

MY VISION STATEMENT
So by going through the 6 questions above, I formulated my vision statement which came out to be:
I a committed to becoming a masterful real estate agent while simultaneously impacting both my clients and blog audience to be better, do better and dream bigger.
Through my passions, I truly hope with all my heart to leave people happier and more empowered than before they met me. Both of which allow be to make a handsome living and ultimately my fortune to enjoy and give back with.
I commit to doing all this with integrity, passion and perseverance through every action I take in my life. And through my contribution I am able to give back to the world, helping generations that follow rise up and be triumphant.
I only compete with myself. Trying to become a little bit better each day, than I was before. I love fully and open my heart to being loved fully. I am fearlessly authentic.
Vision Statement VS Mission Statement
Ok so now we know what a vision statement is. It is beginning with the end in mind. One of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
It essentially paints a vision of your future. One so fulfilling and inspiring that it cultivate the desire for big action.
It is essentially admitting our mortality. Which creates a desire to act bigger and with more urgency. As we won’t be here for long. It is essentially a type of eulogy.
That is what a vision statement is. A snippet of a future that you desire to manifest.
Now a mission statement, which I will go over in another article soon, is a bit different.
The mission statement is the HOW. So now that you began with the end in mind. You now need to map out how you are going to make your vision statement happen.
Mission statements are tactical. They integrate steps, processes, education and implementation. It is scheduled data that gets your closer and closer to your vision statement into a LIVING statement. To where you are truly living that statement.
A mission statement is the building blocks that make the wall. The wall being the ultimate vision you have for your life i.e. your vision statement.
So based off of my vision statement, my mission statement may go something like this:
Through commitment of mastering my real estate craft by self education and seeking mentorship, I lead a life of providing top tier realty service to my clientele.
Through daily devotion to learning, and implementation through teaching and blogging self help, I am able to create a blogging world where my audience is inspired to to take bigger action, become more and seek their highest self.
All while checking in daily to see if I am living authentically. And allowing myself to love and be loved in full. Depending on my daily results, I learn from my mistakes and show up better and better each and every single day. I am coached and self coach my way to greatness.
Think of it like this, a mission statement is more action driven. And the vision statement is cultivated from deep within. It is more mystical and far reaching. With the knowing and belief in oneself that it can be accomplished. The vision statement is the metaphysical in which the mission statement is the physical.
Mission statements are what it will take in the interim. Which long term action on the interim will ultimately allow you to manifest your vision. And start living and fully embodying it.
It will give direction, so you know what action to take. Instead of a vision statement being more like a dream. The mission statement action items will allow one to create that vision into a more concrete livable reality.
