How To Reach The Next Level (Breakthrough)
First off, when it comes to how to have a reaching the next level in our life, we need to be asking ourselves what does hitting a new level in our life mean to us?
I mean at the end of the day, reaching the next level sounds great. But what does it look like, feel like, smell like and even taste like to you?
So the first step constitutes actually defining what the next level looks like to you.
What area of life do you want to reach it in? This is usually the easiest step.
Then what will that area of your life look like after you had had this breakthrough?
What will you be wearing? What emotions will you be feeling? Who will be around? More important, who will NOT be around anymore?
Once you have gone through these two simple steps, the real work begins.

What part of you just isn’t cutting it anymore in your life? If we are honest with ourselves, we simply have traits and habits that we need to do away with.
If we did away with them, we can reach that next level of our life as Leo Dicaprio talks about. Simply because we will become a different us. Die to our old self.
The you that has came to the article is not the you that you need to be to create a breakthrough.
So be honest with yourself, what ONE habit could you let go of to create this new you?
It is simply a layer of yourself that doesn’t need to be there anymore.
This can be a bad habit that you can exchange with a good habit.
This leads to two new layers of you that are more beneficial reaching the next level in this life.
For me, I needed to kick alcohol and porn. Not that I consumed these two things heavily. But in my heart of hearts I knew that they couldn’t be in my life anymore, if I wanted to reach a new level in life.
EMBRACE PAIN FOR LONG TERM PLEASURE
Of course, this really starts off with a complete GENESIS. This genesis is accepting that it WILL be painful. Accepting this fact going in will mentally prepare you better for the journey.
You will either choose to push through and be persistent, until you breakthrough. Or you will throw in the towel.
Breakthroughs are not for the faint of heart. They require discipline and consistency. Along with the innate desire to transcend the limits that YOU put on you.
Begin to see it this way. That YOU created you. Society didn’t do it. Your parents didn’t do it. Your teachers didn’t do it. YOU are completely responsible for the person you are today.
Taking full responsibility for your life is the 1st step to reaching the next level in life. And ultimately the first step towards living an empowered life on your terms.
From this day forward, assume full responsibility for your life. YOU got you here, and YOU can get out of it. It’s as simple as that.
And when you push through the pain, on the other side is that new you. You breakthrough to a life that brings you more pleasure than you can ever imagine.
Because you lived life at a certain consciousness most if not all of your life. And after you breakthrough, you never go back to that old you. You have expanded your consciousness to much. You have felt a sense of partial heaven on earth.
And a consciousness expanded, never goes back to its original dimensions.
Also, reaching the next level in life will ultimately lead to residual breakthroughs in other areas of your life. Because EVERYTHING affects EVERYTHING on this planet. Change one area of your life and every other area of your life changes.
So one breakthrough can lead to either more breakthroughs naturally. Or will make it easier to reaching the next level in your life in other areas with less effort.
It’s like building a muscle baby!
So now we know the genesis of a breakthrough. We know the template for creating one. Now let’s take a look at other tips that we can use to make this breakthrough happen!
How To Breakthrough (13 Tips)
1.) Do Something You Never Thought Possible (Set A New Standard)
I was taking a course to better my real estate skills as that is my other full time job.
I was making about 150 calls a day and chatting with around 20 people a day. Cold calling.
There was a point in the class where the teacher called out the classroom, asking who thought they could talk to 100 people in one day.
I took on this challenge. And the next week, before our next session, I talked to 113 people in one day about real estate. Adding great leads to my database.
So what do you think happened the next day I went into my cold calling? I BLEW past 20! I could have done 20 in my sleep!
I obliterated my old daily standard to chatting to people about buying or selling real estate. And I created an entirely different standard for my daily production.
When you hit a different level in your life in any area. Maybe a level that you couldn’t even conceive you ever reaching, your whole life transforms.
When we breakthrough these self imposed limits, we come out an entirely new us. With the ability and capability to retain this new us.
To add to this story, my daily numbers went up. But so did my effort in the gym. More sets per workout. As well as I felt a deeper drive to make my romantic relationship better. Again my friends, EVERYTHING affects EVERYTHING.
2.) Keep Failing UNTIL Your Succeed
Most people view failure as a negative thing. That is because they see it too black and white. They see it as an end all, be all. A point where there is not overcoming it.
Look you never fail until you accept failure as your only option.
So let’s say you are wanting to reach a new level in your romantic life.
Lets say you are a single guy that is looking to get a great girlfriend.
Then approach the dating field with massive action. Ask out any girl that you feel as sense of attraction to. Who cares if she says no!? Just keep failing forward until you find a great connection with someone.
The key is to use fear to YOUR advantage. How do you do this? Well you become more fearful of what your life will look like if you NEVER find love. Because you were too scared to go for it. Or anything in love.
Become more scared of NOT getting it. Let that fear be more powerful than the fear of simply taking the shot at the things you want in life.
Sure it is scary to fail and try and fail at things. But the fact of the matter is that REGRET will be a much scarier and haunting feeling. Trying and failing is temporary if you keep going. Regret can be permanent.
I mean level with me here. Haven’t you ever really wanted something in life that you were scared to go for? But you went for it anyways. And you thought something along the lines of “It wasn’t so bad afterall!”
We make up images in our mind about the things we are scared about. Those images get us into a fearful state. Next time you are looking to reach the next level in your life, act right when you feel the fear. That way you won’t have time to stack up negative images in your head.
3.) Monitor The HELL Out of Your Self Talk (Change Your Story)
Positive self talk is so crucial. We spend the majority of our time alone. Essentially we are always alone with our thoughts.
We need to be closely listening to ourselves.
Try catching yourself a few times a day saying something bad to yourself. Putting yourself down. Talking yourself out of going for your goals.
When you catch yourself, simply replace the thought with a powerful emotion.
DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU TELL YOU!
Just because your mind is saying it, doesn’t mean it is true.
Our mind is simply a file cabinet of all the programs we have picked up over the years.
The negative file cabinets are those things we believed when we heard them from other people. But so are the positive.
The fact of the matter is that you have an endless amount of room in this file cabinet. You can both take out of it, as well as put new files in.
The more you catch yourself thinking negatively about yourself, the more you are able to replace bad files. With files that support your breakthrough.
This is the power we have to change our minds. And when we change our minds, we change our life. Because you are a creator of your life. Whatever you have now in your life, YOU have created it.
Once we change our mind, we change the story we tell ourselves about us.
You can also do this consciously. Simply call up limiting beliefs about your desired breakthrough. Ask and you shall receive.
Simply state something like “I can’t do this because”. And your mind will provide you with answers. Because that is what it does. It is sifting through the file cabinet of the things you have put in it.
Then as they come up, really examine them. See the falsehood in them. Is it true? Or did you simply believe it to be true? If you can believe truth about a negative file, you can believe truth about a positive file. And replace that sucker for good.
4.) Feel Absolute DISGUST
I want you to do something for me. I want you to feel absolute disgust with your current pre-next situation. Essentially hit rock bottom on it.
Because what happens when you hit rock bottom? You either lay flat on the ground, or you get your ass up and climb back up.
Since you can’t go any lower.
I want you to self induce a rock bottom. Right here, and right now.
Get so disgusted with this old you. Feel the filthiness and discontentment with your current self. Get so disgusted with it that you simply want and need to get out of this person.
Disgust is a powerful emotion. Because you essentially reach your breaking point. YOU CANT HAVE ANOTHER DAY OF IT!
It is a negative emotion, but it can lead to extremely positive outcomes if you use it right.
5.) Change Your Squad
You get around better people in life, and your life gets better. Pay a mentor. Offer your services to get around someone better than you. Go to seminars. Read books.
Because OBSESSIVE about hanging out with better people.
Turn the TV off. Replace ALL distraction hours with hours of growth and personal development.
The saying is cliche, but we certainly do become who we hang out with. The best part is that we can choose who we hang out with. If you want to become a billionaire, consume material about billionaires. Follow what they do. Emulate their styles. Speak their language. Become them.
Simply make it a goal to start hanging around ONE person that makes you feel like you need to have your stuff together around them. This person will encourage you to reach new levels in your life. And I promise you, life will never be the same after constant exposure to this person.
Act When You Don’t Feel Like It
Growth and change take effort. This tip for how to have a breakthrough, is going to make us go beyond our nature of being a human.
We are bred to seek the path of least resistance. Not only are we as humans prone to always doing so, so is EVERYTHING else in life. Water, electricity, etc.
A great study talks about our brains tricking us into thinking low hanging fruit is the ripest. In all senses of the phrase.
It essentially influences our behavior along with literally changes what we think we see.
It is a law in the universe. But, if you are like me, it can be fun to break laws!
And this one can be broken.
With a conscious effort, you can simply go against the grain. Again the reason for your breakthrough must be big enough. But try going the hard route in mini areas in your life.
Take a road that takes longer to get home on than your normal one. Do one extra rep at the gym. Read instead of watch TV.
These little actions will build up this muscle that simply will let you not cave in when it comes to wanting to take the path of least resistance.
So when it comes to becoming the person you need to reach that next level, you will have the right muscles to do so. The muscle will become so strong that you will be able to enter into your new realm with force, needing less effort to breakthrough.
6.) Yard By Yard It’s Hard, Inch By Inch It’s a Cinch!
My man, motivational speaker, Les Brown said this once. It was very quippy. But it is true. When we look at the things we want in life, we look at it as ONE GIANT STEP towards it’s attainment. But Rome wasn’t built in one day my friends.
Don’t put a time limit on your breakthrough. Goals with timelines can fuel disappointment and even depression.
The ideas of the age you should be married by, the age you should have kids by, the age you should be in a good job by. SO MANY SHOULD’S!
Simply don’t put a timeline on your breakthrough. Just take one day at a time. And do things that will be beneficial to having your ULTIMATE breakthrough.
For example if you want to reach the next level in your career, simply read 30 minutes a day in it. And reach out to one influencer a week in your space, asking for advice on how to reach the next level.
Crawling leads to baby steps, baby steps lead to akwardly walking, which leads to walking normal. This leads to running, sprinting, marathoning. Well you get the picture.
Like a river. At some points it is slow, other points rapid. But it leads to a cascading and beautiful waterfall. The waterfall being your breakthrough.
And of course in your pursuit hitting the next level in life, simply view the journey like this:

7.) Write Down Your Day
If we take a good honest look at our daily schedules, we will see time gaps that range from a minute wasted, to HOURS wasted.
Try writing down your day, everyday for a week. Simple but not easy.
This will allow you to become cognizant of how your days are taking shape.
It will also show you when you tend to slip. Which the next step in this process is to insert things into those slips. Those things you insert should be things that will help you make that next breakthrough.
If you want to reach the next level in fitness, then do pushups when you are slipping. Catch yourself doing things like scrolling through social media, or heading to the fridge to eat calories you shouldn’t be eating.
And instead of doing these actions, do pushups. Read about new diets for your body type. Read up on workouts you can do.
These little wins throughout your day will create an entirely new you in a years time. Even a months time. It is simple. It will be hard at first. But well worth it because of the time you are winning back. You are literally using time management at it’s best.
And since time is what life is made of, you will be living life to it’s fullest. Truly making time your ally.
8.) Use Your Story To Your Advantage (Create An Alternate Beginning)
We are all living out a story each day. The reason we are the way we are. This can be a great thing, or it could be the MAIN thing blocking us from reaching the next level in our lives.
What is your story? I’m curious.
Think to yourself, what story have you been telling yourself, that is not necessarily beneficial to you having your breakthrough?
Maybe it is that you don’t have enough education. Or that it is too late for you to start. Or you are too young. Or you don’t know enough. Or that your family never would approve.
These are just stories that permeate through our existence.
Just like with any story, you can we-write the ending.
See yourself as a Hollywood producer who wrote an alternate ending for your movie. Yet this story will be an alternate BEGINNING.
We all tell ourselves stories. Might as well tell one so good that we will have a captive audience. US. Listening and internalizing a story that will provoke us, push us and fire us up. Giving us what we need to create a new breakthrough in this life.
9.) Find Things To Be Grateful For (Fear Antidote)
The fact of the matter is, as corny as it sounds, be grateful. Gratitude is the spice that adds immense flavor to the dish of life.
And the more you are grateful, the more things will come into your life that you will be even more grateful for. It is self-fulfilling in such a positive way.
Also, when you are grateful, you can’t be fearful!
Try it right now. Think if something you are scared of. Or better yet, something you are scared to do, that if you did it, would help or even create this new level of living!
Feel it deeply. Bathe in the fear.
Then immediately think about 3 things you are grateful for. Again feel these things deeply.
You will notice, that the fear you were feeling is completely gone.
A breakthrough will usually bring about fear. You are going to be transcending yourself. Becoming a new you. This is scary.
So use gratitude as a weapon. To slice through any fear you have.
10.) Ditch Preconceived Ideas
Enlightenment is often talked about by masters as simply finding your true self. A natural feeling. Almost the easiest thing in the world to do.
Yet most people think enlightenment is this huge event.
The same can be true with your breakthrough.
Don’t attach any BIG pictures of what it is supposed to look like.
In a sense, downplay it a bit. It may be huge when it happens, but don’t give it too much thought to it needing to be this once in a lifetime thing.
We need to make it feel within reach.
Also, see every little win as a breakthrough!
Mini breakthroughs. Showing you that if you can have small breakthroughs, then you can also have big ones too!
11.) What Would NOT Breaking Through Look Like?
This may be all you need when it comes to how to have a breakthrough. What would your life look like if you DIDN’T reach that next level in life.
Simmer with that mental image for a bit.
Feel how bad you would feel that you never broke through. The feeling of staying the same. Year after year. People passing you by. Always waiting for things to be right. And that desired breakthrough never comes.
It is probably an image that has a dark hue to it, right?
I know mine was when I just thought about it.
Use this crappy feeling to propel you to act now. Do what you must do to reach that next level.
12.) Believe It Can Happen To You
When it comes down to it, belief predicates action.
Out level and measure of belief in something literally dictates how much action we take.
I mean have you ever tried to sell something you didn’t believe in? You just cant muster up the action to sell it.
Believe you can, and you are half way there.
See yourself as being extremely capable of having a big breakthrough. Because you are!
We are so inclined to believe that everyone can do and have what we want, but us!
This is crazy talk. From this day forward, simply believe and KNOW that you can have the breakthrough that you truly desire.
I believe in you. And KNOW you can have it.
Also, believe that you deserve it. If you are like me, you struggle with feeling worthy of the good things in life.
But we are the apex predator in this life. We are meant to be winners. Born to win. And if we prepare to win, but first believing we can and are worthy, then ultimately we will win!
13.) BEGIN NOW!
This is the last but most crucial tip I can give you my good friend.
Start right where you are. Don’t wait until you are ready. Do so until you feel ready.
Act awkwardly forward. Become action biased. Don’t postpone.
I guarantee that you know what you need to do to reach your next life level that you want. This guide was just to get your motivation up and give you tips to rock n roll with it.
Do what you know you should be doing. Not tomorrow, RIGHT NOW.

Gain momentum my friends. A breakthrough is a myriad of small steps that make it look like one giant leap when you finally have your breakthrough.
Stay in motion. As an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
Get little wins. These babies add up.

But even more importantly, don’t ever see it as failure. See it as tiny little wins on your way to the ultimate win.
